Battle of Britain Memorials attended by R Gwinnell & Sons team

On 17th September 2017 the Royal Air Force and Branches of the Royal Air Forces Association (the Charity which provides help and support to current and former members of the Royal Air Force and their dependants) remembered the Battle of Britain by holding Services to commemorate the Battle in 1940.

The Clacton Branch was no exception and held a Service at the War Memorial on Clacton seafront in the morning, where Reverend Michael Child led the service, the Chairman of Tendring District Council read one of the Bible readings.

Also involved was Steven Fletcher who played The Last Post and Reveille and the Clacton Cooperative Band provided the music both during and after the Service.

Another service followed  at St. Paul’s Church, Clacton in the afternoon.  The Service sheets were kindly donated and provided by R Gwinnell & Sons Funeral Directors. Over 40 people attended.
